Memorial Day

Tomorrow is Monday May 28th, 2012. That means it is Memorial Day once again. The ice-cream, memories, parades, and soldiers.

But I want everyone to remember not just those related to them, but the soldiers of every country. Soldiers all across the world have made the ultimate sacrifice for their countries, willingly or not. They still put their lives on the line and are human.

Rest in peace all that have served in any military. You have made the ultimate sacrifice.

A time for Change

            There comes a point in your life when you stop updating that blog, stop using that forum, or stop uploading videos and photos to that one website. That’s because some things become routine to us, and we need a change. I needed a change for a long time, almost two years. But here I am, posting on my blog again.

 

So what’s today’s insight Matt?

 

Well, you just read it. Everyone needs a change, they need to find themselves and their priorities. And I did just that. Maybe I’ll help you with a little change, go listen to that album down there. You won’t regret it!

The situation dictates the punishment…

Not the punishment dictates the situation. I was reading TIME Magazine the other day and read an article about rules in school and the punishments that are handed out. There was this girl one day who had dropped a butter knife in her car and forgot about it. She drove to school, and parked. Then some idiot saw the BUTTER KNIFE and REPORTED HER TO THE PRINCIPLE. SHE WAS THEN SUSPENDED FOR INTENT TO USE A WEAPON. Where in that story was she going to stab someone with the butter knife? When the principle was questioned about this she replied “Rules are rules.” O.K., so a butter knife on the floor of a car is automatically a weapon? Where did common sense go? Rules are not rules. The punishment dictated the situation. There was no need for a suspension. Just like “Zangeif Kid”, who was being bullied, started attacking the bullies. They had been pestering him for years. He was being videotaped, and the bullies hit him first. So defending yourself is now a crime? He was going to be hurt, he did the right thing. Internet Anonymous, or Anon, threatened to school with constant e-mails, letters, calls etc unless his suspension was undone. Though Anon’s means were unneeded, their cause was right. He did nothing wrong but protect himself. He is a true hero. Rules should not dictate situations. The situation should dictate the rules. These suspensions were both unneeded and stupid. There needs to be common sense, there needs to be a better system…

Common sense and thinking for oursleves…

What happened to good ‘ole common sense? Oh yeah, the Government, idiotic laws, and just stupidity of the politicians. Why do they have to put “Caution, it’s hot” on a cup for HOT COFFEE! Well there was this lady who went to Dunkin Doughnuts one day and because the drive through man didn’t tell her that the HOT COFFEE was hot, she “accidentally” spilled it on herself and sued. Lack of common sense.  Really, I’ve had it with idiots like that. They have been handed everything on a silver platter by the government and they are telling us how to live and go about our daily lives. and the government are regulating everything so they get money. They need to be stopped. I’ll go about my daily life without interference from wal-mart and the government thank you very much.

Popularity

Popularity is in the eye of the beholder. Just because you are popular does not mean you are liked.
